Here is how you can check what kind of video card and its drivers are currently installed on your computer. 
1) Go to your "START"menu and select "RUN". Vista uses can skip this step, and type Step 2 into the Start Search section 
at the bottom of the Start menu. 
2) Type in the phrase "DXDIAG"and click "OK". 
3) If you are prompted with a message 
asking if you want to "DIGITALLY 
SIGN DRIVERS", click "YES". 
4) Select the "DISPLAY" option at the 
top of the new "DIRECTX 
DIAGNOSTIC TOOL" window that has 
opened. 
5) In the left box, you will see the 
"DEVICE" info, including "NAME" 
and "CHIP TYPE". This is your video 
card. 
6) In the right box, you will see the 
"DRIVERS"info, including 
"VERSION" and "DATE".
